When your baby is born it is a huge event and also a time full of emotion. Your little one is starting on the amazing journey of life. No doubt you, as a mom, are feeling all types of emotions that range from tearful joy to anxiety and fear.

Think about how your baby must be feeling. If you are dealing with so many emotions then what is he/she is feeling? Your baby just left the perfectly secure and quiet home of your womb. Now they are out here facing a noisy world with bright lights and a whole range of things that are completely new to them. They have not had the chance to build up the coping skills that you have.

No doubt your baby feels a lot of anxiety and is very much lost in it’s chaotic new surroundings. Of course, you have done everything you can to make your baby feel secure and less anxious. But is it enough?

This is not something we think about often because our memories don’t go back that far. When you really stop and think about it you must admit that this is likely the biggest change your baby will probably go through in their entire life!

Certain flowers can help soothe your baby and help it through this difficult adjustment period. These essences give your baby a sense of belonging and a strong sense of inner peace.

Going this route will help your baby develop better, emotionally. These essences are extremely safe for newborns because they contain no artificial ingredients or even herbal extracts. Try a search for ‘baby flower essence’ on google to learn more about them.

After your baby is born they are completely dependent on you. Make sure that they are bathed often, kept warm, given food whenever they are hungry and given plenty of cuddling. Make sure that your home is as quiet and full of love, as possible. When you are out and about in the city it is hard to control this. The home should be a safe haven for your baby, though.

Developing a routine is very important because you and your baby will both know what to expect. For the first few days after birth the baby will probably set the routine but after that you can begin to take charge. Make sure that your partner has his part in bonding with your baby.

He should take a part in feeding, bathing, cuddling and changing diapers. Follow these simple rules and your baby will feel as safe and secure as possible in this wide new world.
