If you are using Twitter to promote your business it is important for you, or the people you report to, to know just how much the business is benefiting from all your Twitter activity.
Looking at how many followers you have in total, or have gained in a set time period, is one way to track progress. Another is to view the stats for your website to see how much traffic has come from your tweets. But this is only scratching the surface and does not give you a full insight into the bigger picture.
To fully understand the ROI (return on investment) for your business’s Twitter activity you need to set yourself some goals and look a lot deeper into your twittertivity. This can be done by employing one or more of the online tools that have been launched to help you – url shorteners, campaign trackers, retweet buttons etc.
