A really simple way to save power, water, time and money when boiling a kettle is to fill it with just the amount of water needed for the job in hand.
If you are making a cup of tea for one, just add enough water to make that one cup of tea.
Many people fill a kettle to the MAX mark every time it is used. There is no need do so – just make sure you never let the water go below the minimum recommended level and keep the kettle topped up with enough water for your requirements.
If you drink as much tea as me this little tip could save you a small fortune over an extended period of time!
